It’s pretty obvious that an extensive, quality, live and uncluttered network is powerful.

In organizing various industry events I can see some get this and are prospering through it whether it is through getting a better understanding of how the industry they have an interest in works, the way companies’ cultures are shaped so they can decide to join such companies or stay clear of it, where hidden jobs are located and where relationships assist in opening doors which otherwise seemed impossible to get through.

Yet a much wider proportion are sitting at home while these events are being held and being completely oblivious to this as a powerful way to multiplying themselves.

They say the sign of insanity is individuals doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. So if you are facing road blocks in work or in getting jobs or in your understanding of industry opportunities – try something different.

Try attending an event where you can get a chance to meet other like minded individuals.

If you are from the electrical industry and are in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane you have an opportunity to partake in this and become good at it.

MyElectricalCommunity is going to be organizing regular networking events with the next one at Kirribilli Club in Sydney on the 14th of October 2015 commencing 6.00pm to 9.00pm. It’s free, where you buy your own drinks and food and you will get a chance to catch up with a whole bunch of industry professionals.
